How Pet Ops handles your information
What is collected, why it is needed, who helps process it and how you can ask for access, correction or help.
Information we collect
We collect the client details, contact details, service address, booking preferences and care notes you provide. Pet records may include age, breed, behaviour, access instructions, vaccination and desexing status, medical or veterinary information and emergency notes.
We also keep service, message, job, invoice, receipt and support records. The app and its security providers may process account, device, browser, push-notification and connection information needed to operate and protect the service.
Why we collect it
Information is used to assess booking requests, provide safe pet care, contact you, schedule staff, keep service records, prepare invoices, record payments, handle questions and protect the service from misuse.
Please only provide information that is relevant to your pet's care. Required booking details are needed to assess the request; contact the business directly if you prefer not to use the online form.
Who processes it
Access is limited to authorised people working for Pet Ops, assigned carers where needed, and providers that operate Pet Care Deck. Current providers include Supabase for authentication and data services, Stripe for hosted card payments when enabled, web-push and browser providers for opted-in notifications, and the website hosting platform.
Pet Care Deck does not store card numbers or security codes. Stripe receives card details on its hosted checkout. Information is not sold through Pet Care Deck or used by the app for unrelated advertising. Cloud providers may process information outside Australia according to their infrastructure and terms.
Storage, access and complaints
Reasonable access controls and security safeguards are used. Records are kept only while reasonably needed for care, safety, accounting, dispute handling, security or legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified where practical.
Contact Pet Ops to ask what information is held, request a correction or deletion, withdraw an optional notification permission, or raise a concern. We will respond within a reasonable time. These practices apply whether or not the business is required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988, and the Australian Privacy Principles apply where legally required.
