Booking pet care with Pet Ops

These terms explain when a booking is formed, what each side needs to do and the protections that always remain.

Requests and confirmation

Sending a form creates a booking request, not a confirmed service. A booking is formed only when Pet Ops accepts the request and confirms the service, time, location and price. A suggested time is not confirmed until both sides agree.

You must be at least 18 years old or have authority from the person responsible for the pet and payment. Please check confirmation details and promptly report any mistake.

Safe care and customer responsibilities

Provide accurate, current information about the pet's health, medication, vaccinations, behaviour, triggers, escape risk, handling, veterinary contact and emergency needs. Provide safe and lawful access to the pet and service location, plus any equipment reasonably needed for the agreed care.

The carer may pause, change or end a service where continuing would create an immediate safety or welfare risk. The team will try to contact you. If urgent veterinary care appears reasonably necessary and you cannot be reached, the team may seek reasonable emergency assistance; you remain responsible for third-party veterinary costs unless the need arose from the business failing to provide services with due care and skill.

Prices, invoices and payment

The agreed price and any included taxes are shown in the booking, confirmation or invoice. Do not pay an unexpected amount: contact the business first. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout when online payment is enabled; Pet Care Deck does not store the full card number or security code.

Pay by the invoice due date. A refund, correction or payment dispute will be handled according to the agreed service, these terms and the Australian Consumer Law.

Service standard and Australian Consumer Law

Services will be supplied with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for any purpose made known and be supplied within the agreed or a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes a consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, each side remains responsible for loss it causes. Neither side is responsible for delay caused by an event outside reasonable control, but the affected side must communicate and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact.

Changes, concerns and governing law

Material changes apply to future bookings after the updated version is published; they do not silently rewrite an already confirmed booking. These terms are governed by Australian law and the law of the state or territory where the service is supplied.

Contact Pet Ops first if something is wrong so it can be investigated and an appropriate remedy offered.
